It's as much about the sounds of the sea and what those visitors see as it is about the vista across the water and along the shoreline in the reborn era of Jersey City, New Jersey at the turn of the century.

ONE MORNING IN JERSEY CITY - Poems written along the Hudson River Walkway near Harborside, Exchange Place, Grundy Pier, the Goldman Sachs can of Coke, and the Colgate clock in Jersey City, N.J. In these lines, you can see the pigeons running, hear seagulls squawking, helicopters buzzing overhead and see buildings reaching for the sky.

VOICES ON THE BUS - Commuting daily on the bus, train, subway or PATH, one settles into a routine of familiar seating and faces. You can stare out the window listening to your own music, or read a book, or write poems about the experience. This is the latter.
